What Is a Terrarium
What happens during daytime
Plants keep themselves nourished due to photosynthesis. Leaves absorb carbon dioxide to produce energy in the form of glucose and release oxygen. Adequate light is vital for this cycle.
What happens during nightime
During respiration, the plants absorb oxygen in the atmosphere and release carbon dioxide and water vapor. This is why at night you will notice water condensate on the walls of the glass container. This water trickles down to the soil, to be reabsorbed by the roots and used again for photosynthesis.
